Vanilla Chai Smoothie Bowl

Is anyone else really missing visits to their local coffee shop during lockdown? The drink I've really been craving the most is my favourite, Costa's chai latte. With that in mind, this morning I came up with this vanilla chai smoothie bowl recipe!


Preparation time: 4 minutes (additional time required if you like your smoothie bowl to be aesthetically pleasing/Instagram worthy! :P)


Approximately 380 calories per bowl.


Ingredients:

- 2 tbsp of 0% fat greek yoghurt

- 20g of oats

- handful of ice

- 1 large banana

-1 apple

- 2 tbsp of cinnamon

- 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Begin by adding the ice, greek yoghurt, oats, 1/2 the banana, 1/2 the apple, 1 and 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon and vanilla extract into a blender and blend for 30/40 seconds (or until mixture is smooth).


While your smoothie is blending, cut both the remaining 1/2 banana and 1/2 apple into thin slices.

Pour your smoothie mixture into a bowl, add the granola, banana slices, apple slices and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 tbsp of cinnamon over the top.


(Cinnamon sticks are not essential!)
